Our group signed a technical assistance and license agreement (TALA) with GTT

On September 8th,Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group and GTT (Gaztransport& Technigaz) of France hassigned a technical assistance and license agreement on Mark III membrane containment technology forthe LNG fuel tanks. Annan Issaoni, General Manager of GTT China, Ren Letian,chairman of our group, attended the signing ceremony and conduct in-depthfriendly exchanges. This marks that our Group has officially obtained thequalification certification of GTT, and has the qualification to build largeLNG carrier with GTT Mark-III membrane enclosure system. As a result, our groupbecame the first private shipbuilding enterprise in China shipbuilding industryto obtain this qualification.

 

GTT Mark-III LNG shipmembrane enclosure simulation module qualification process completed and licenseaward ceremony was held in Yangzi Xinfu. Annan Issaoni, General Manager of GTTChina, Song Aimin, General Manager of ABS Classification Society Central China,Christophe VAES, Manager of BV Classification Society New Shipbuilding Division,Cai Gao, Director of CCS Jiangyin Office, Huang Jin, Global Senior VicePresident of DNV Classification Society, Shi Xingtai, General Manager of LRGreater China and Masakatsu TSURU, General Manager of NK Shanghai Branchattended the ceremony. Yang Xueyan, General Manager of Yangzi XinfuShipbuilding Co., Ltd., received the qualification certificate from AnnanIssaoni, General Manager of GTT China on behalf of the company. Zhou Kewei, DeputyGeneral Manager of our group, received the qualification certificates issued byABS, BV, CCS, DNV, LR and NK classification societies on behalf of our company.

 

Ren Letian,Chairman of our Group, declared that with the green transformation ofshipbuilding industry, YZJ’s plan to combat climate change is graduallyunfolding and is paving the way for the future transition to net zero emissions.The GTT certification will lay the foundation for YZJ to strategically enterthe market for the construction of large LNG carriers. YZJ currently focus onachieving performance in the LNG sector and better meet the growing demand forgreen vessels in the future. YZJ has already secured an order for four 8,000TEU dual-fuelled container ships from Pacific International Lines, a leadingshipping line in Asia. The container vessels feature GTT's Membranetechnology for the LNG fuel tanks.
