Delivery of First 50,000DWT MR tanker "JAL PRERANA" built by Yangzi-Mitsui

On March 28, the new generation green and environmentally friendly 50,000DWT MR tanker "JAL PRERANA" built by our group's Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding for a Singapore shipowner was delivered and departed from the shipyard wharf and started her maiden voyage.

"JAL PRERANA" is a new environmentally friendly MR tanker customized by YAMIC according to customer requirements. By optimizing the hull form and cargo hold design, and equipping the vessel with an integrated, highly efficient, and energy-saving propulsion system, this vessel boasts versatile cargo transportation capabilities and remarkable environmental friendliness. Its ship energy efficiency rating places it in the top tier within the current MR tanker market. On the morning of March 27, representatives of both parties signed the delivery protocols. Subsequently, YAMIC held a grand naming ceremony for the vessel. Godmother Ms. Puja Bothra, named the vessel "JAL PRERANA", and then naming sponsor Ms. Prerana Mikkilineni cut the string for the new vessel and tossed champagne.
