On the morning of November 4, the fourth 8200TEU membrane-type LNG dual-fuel container vessel, "KOTA ORKID," built by our group's New Yangzi Shipbuilding for PIL, was delivered and departed from the shipyard wharf. It is the final vessel in our group's "O-class" series of four 8200TEU membrane-type LNG dual-fuel container vessels built for PIL.

On the morning of October 28, our group and PIL jointly held a grand naming ceremony for this vessel. Ms. Annie Yap, the namer, Mr. Zhang Songsheng, Executive Chairman of PIL, Mr. Ren Letian, Chairman of our group, as well as relevant leaders of our group, representatives of our partner GTT, and other guests attended the ceremony. Ms. Annie Yap named the new vessel "KOTA ORKID" and cut the string and tossed champagne. KOTA ORKID originates from the Malay word for the orchid, Singapore's national flower, symbolizing resilience, elegance, and quality improvement, reflecting the corporate resilience and green vision of shipowner PIL.

On October 29, "KOTA ORKID" was officially delivered. Mr. Abhishek Chawla, Chief Marine Officer of PIL, and Mr. Du Chengzhong, Vice General Manager of our group and General Manager of New Yangzi Shipbuilding, signed the delivery documents on behalf of their respective parties. It is learned that after delivery of “KOTA ORKID”, she will join her sister vessels “KOTA OCEAN”, “KOTA OASIS”, and “KOTA ODYSSEY” in serving PIL's South West Africa (SWS) route, which further enhances shipping connectivity and service flexibility between Asia and West Africa, and promotes efficient and reliable global trade.
