Delivery of the third 50,000 DWT MR Tanker "JAL KALP" built by Yangzi-Mitsui for Singapore Shipowner

On August 12, the third unit of new-generation, environmentally friendly 50,000 DWT MR tanker "JAL KALP," built by Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding for Singapore shipowner, was delivered and departed from shipyard wharf to start her maiden voyage. "JAL KALP" measures 183.00 meters in length overall, 32.30 meters in moulded width, 19.10 meters in moulded depth, design draft of 11.00meters. The construction period was approximately 10 and a half months.

On August 6, Yangzi-Mitsui held a grand naming ceremony for the vessel. Ms. Zhang Xinhang, the Godmother, named the vessel "JAL KALP," and then Ms. Sun Wen, the naming sponsor, cut the string and tossed champagne.

At 10:00 AM on August 11, "JAL KALP" was successfully delivered via electronic signature. Wishing the new vessel a safe voyage, a full load, and smooth sailing!
