Delivery of First New Generation 66,000DWT Bulk Carrier "JAL KUMUD" built by Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding

On November 2nd, the first 66,000DWT bulk carrier "JAL KUMUD" built by our group’s Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding for Singapore shipowner, departed from the shipyard wharf and delivered for operation and started her maiden voyage.The vessel is the first wide-bodied, shallow draft, Tier III and EEDI Phase III compliant new generation of ultra-handmax bulk carrier upgraded by Yangzi-Mitsui based on MES-S design.

On the afternoon of October 30th, Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding held a grand naming ceremony for the vessel. The godmother, Ms. Upasana Bothra, director of JALDHI, named the vessel "JAL KUMUD" and threw champagne. Mr. Song Shuming, representative of Yangzi-Mitsui, and Mr. V.C.Bothra, representative of JALDHI delivered speeches respectively.

On October 30th, witnessed by representatives of all parties, "JAL KUMUD" was signed and delivered.
