On September 28, the first 80,000 DWT self-unloading bulk carrier "ALGOMA LEGACY" built by our Group's Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding for Canadian shipowner, was delivered and departed from the shipyard wharf and started her maiden voyage. This series of vessels consists of five vessels, all built by Yangzi Mitsui.

The vessel's propulsion system is equipped with a TIER III methanol-ready main engine with EGR, enabling future switching to methanol fuel and reducing nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions by approximately 80%, sulfur oxides (SOx) by 99%, and carbon dioxide emissions by 10%. In terms of operational efficiency, the vessel is equipped with electrical rolling side-sliding hatch covers and a new generation self-unloading system, reducing reliance on specific port unloading facilities and enabling continuous and efficient cargo transfer with an unloading rate of up to 5000 tons per hour. It is also equipped with a 1500KW CPP side thruster system, providing flexibility for berthing and unloading at various ports.

On September 26, Mr. Bradley Thomas Scarbro, representative of the shipowner, Mr. Song Shuming, Vice General Manager of our Group and General Manager of Yangzi Mitsui, and Mr. Koichiro Fuki, COO of Yangzi-Mitsui, jointly signed the delivery documents of "ALGOMA LEGACY."
